Reflections by Michelle Lipowski, founded in April 1990, is a studio that provides service directly from the heart. Local residents apparently really appreciate that compassion, as readers of Folsom/El Dorado Hills Style magazine voted Michelle as Favorite Photographer in 2007.

Michelle began the business when her then-9-month-old daughter was just starting to toddle around. Although Michelle's intention was to have a nice part-time, in-home business while she raised her baby daughter, before long, Michelle’s playful style of photography caught on. By the time her son was born three years later, Michelle had to hire help for her growing business. Since 1990, she has earned numerous awards for her photography through the Professional Photographers of Sacramento Valley, Professional Photographers of California and Wedding and Portrait Photographers International.

Reflections by Michelle Lipowski is the one studio in the Folsom general area that has been in existence the longest. At long last, the studio is now located in a dream studio location in the country in the town of Wilton. With many of the studio's clients located in the Folsom, Roseville, and Fair Oaks areas, Michelle travels often to accommodate her large client base to meet their photographic needs. Michelle is looking forward as well to expanding her work with clients in the Elk Grove, Sacramento, and Rancho Cordova areas in the years to come.

Today Reflections by Michelle Lipowski specializes in capturing happy natural moments during all of the seasons of a family's life. Although Michelle’s children are now all grown up, she especially loves to work with young children and she really enjoys the challenge of gaining the trust of her youngest customers. The studio offers both single portrait sessions, either in studio or outdoors, for growing and mature families, as well as “Watch Me Grow” portrait plans for the newest members of the family.

Michelle also often travels to capture individuals, couples, children and families in unique and beautiful locations, such as Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and many beaches. Formal Education and Training
Michelle completed her National Certification through the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) in 2001 and she earned her Photographic Business & Arts degree through the Professional Photographers of California (PPC) in 1999. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Business from San Jose State University.

Michelle is both a speaker and author on the subject of photography and marketing. She especially enjoys writing about children’s photography and photography fund raising events (each year she hosts a Spring Portrait Special with live baby bunnies that benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in honor or her son who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in 1997). Michelle speaks throughout California and she has been featured in the following publications:
